ANOTHER CHANCE TO CATCH THE "BREAK"-OUT HIT OF THE FALL SEASON WITH AN ENCORE AIRING OF THE TWO-HOUR SERIES PREMIERE OF "PRISON BREAK" THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, ON FOX : (August 30, 2005)

Pilot Episode Directed by Brett Ratner ("X-Men 3," "Red Dragon," "Rush Hour")

FOX's daring new drama series PRISON BREAK will have a special encore airing of its two-hour premiere this Thursday, Sept. 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). The series premiere, which aired Monday, Aug. 29, delivered a 4.6/12 among Adults 18-49 and won Monday night among virtually all key measures. Over 18 million viewers saw at least part of the premiere, on FOX's highest-rated summer Monday in seven years. MICHAEL SCOFIELD (Wentworth Miller) is a desperate man in a desperate situation - his brother LINCOLN BURROWS (Dominic Purcell) has been convicted of a sensational murder and is on death row in Fox River State Penitentiary. Despite the evidence against Lincoln, Michael is convinced of his innocence. With no other options and the clock ticking toward the execution, Michael holds up a bank to get himself incarcerated alongside his brother. Once he's inside, we learn that Michael - a structural engineer with the entire blueprints for the prison tattooed over his upper torso - has hatched an elaborate plan to break Lincoln out and prove that he was framed for the crime.

Combining the hope of "The Shawshank Redemption," the camaraderie of "The Longest Yard" and the tense procedure and spectacle of "The Great Escape," the series promises to reveal additional pieces of the puzzle each week as Michael carries out his daring plan to mastermind the ultimate prison break - and solve the far-reaching national-scale conspiracy that landed him and his brother there in the first place.

PRISON BREAK is created, written and co-executive-produced by Paul Scheuring ("A Man Apart"). Brett Ratner directs the pilot episode and serves as executive producer, along with Marty Adelstein, Neal H. Moritz, Dawn Parouse and Matt Olmstead. Edge-of-your-seat series Prison Break brings TV action and suspense to cinematic heights Two-hour premiere airs August 29 on Global : (July 26, 2005)

Who in their right mind would scheme their way into prison only to plot their way out? For all the edge-of-your seat answers, tune in to the riveting two-hour premiere of Prison Break Monday, August 29 on the Global Television Network.

Cited as one of the best new shows of the fall season, Prison Break is executive produced by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 3, Red Dragon), who also directs the pilot episode. The intense drama plays much like a feature film and stars Wentworth Miller (The Human Stain, Underworld) as Michael, a desperate man faced with a desperate situation: his brother Lincoln, played by Dominic Purcell (Blade: Trinity, Mission Impossible II), has been convicted of a sensational murder and is on death row facing imminent execution.

Despite the evidence, Michael is convinced that his brother is innocent and the victim of a conspiracy. With time running out, Michael gets himself arrested by staging a bank robbery and is incarcerated in the same facility as his brother. Once inside, Michael - holding inside information - aligns himself with a disparate group of prisoners and hatches an elaborate plan to break his brother out of prison.

Each week, the series will reveal additional elements of the plan as Michael masterminds the ultimate prison break, and attempts to solve the sweeping conspiracy that landed him and his brother there in the first place.

The cast includes Stacey Keach as the prison warden, Amaury Nolasco as Michael's cellmate and Robin Tunney as his lawyer and former girlfriend.

Prison Break is created, written and co-executive-produced by Paul Scheuring (A Man Apart). Ratner serves as executive producer along with Mike Pavone, Matt Olmstead, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Parouse. Michael Watkins is co-executive producer.

Prison Break premieres Monday, August 29 on the Global Television Network as follows:

Ontario/Quebec/British Columbia - 8pm
Manitoba/Saskatchewan - 7pm
Maritimes/Alberta - 9pm
